This week's theme for the Unit Study Roundup is Camping. Here is another word printable search item from Tales of Education at Home.

To download the word search and the solutions, please go here. You can get it on my Google drive.

Enjoy! :-)

Not Back to School Picnic

'Tis the season - Back to School season -  that is!  This week's Unit Study Roundup theme is Back to School.  In some areas schools have resumed for the academic year, but where I live, they don't resume until the about the first of September.

We don't take a summer break from formal lessons because we do things very differently.  Where we live, as home educators or homeschoolers, we do not have to follow the school timetable.  This means that we follow our own schedule and timetable.

We have activities that happen during 'term time' meaning when schools are in session and we follow the school term structure for those.

In September, some home educators like to have 'Not Back To School Picnics'.  This is a celebration of not having to go back to school.  We like any excuse for a picnic in the park. :-)

These picnics take place all around country and are organised by various local groups.

If we have a local one to go to in September, I might be able to post photos from it.

For those of you who have started back to your formal lessons, happy schooling!  For those of you who have not started back yet, happy summer holidays!
